Summary of Job Duties: • Processing invoicing for payment through the accounts payable system including:

– Gathering necessary documentation (original invoice, purchase order & request, and receiving report)

– Verifies coding of invoices according to State of Arkansas guidelines

– Enter Ad Hoc Payments into the accounts payable system

– Review invoice entries, validate information and edit when needed, and post to general ledger via check/wire/ACH processing

– Print checks and process wire/ACH documents including interacting with bank personnel to complete this process

– Mails checks or warrants with appropriate documentation to vendors

  • Back-up to Accounts Receivable Clerk.
  • Carry bank deposits to the bank daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • The formal education equivalent of a high school or vocational school diploma.


  • Additional training or experience in accounts payable/purchasing, bookkeeping/accounting, or a related field.
