Full Job Description
Penn State Berks is seeking a candidate for an Administrative Assistant to to support the establishment of the Office of Community Engagement, supporting the interim coordinator in this process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Establish the office’s processes for setting up campus events.

Design processes to coordinate connections and contacts between community partners and campus entities

Generate the student paperwork for clearances; maintain confidential and sensitive information and materials.

Create, update, maintain, and make routine changes to the OCE websites, social media platforms, and the central campus calendar about community events.

Facilitate community engagement set up, including form completion that maintains compliance.

Maintain files and databases; assemble and format data to create simple reports.

Serve as a central contact for community partners and campus entities, as well as ultimately serving as a contact person for all community engagement activities.

Screen and process routine telephone communications, mail, email and web and requests.

Record and distribute meeting minutes.

Prepare documents, meeting materials, correspondence.

This position typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a one (1) year term appointment with a strong possibility of renewal.

This position will require successful completion of clearances including PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Background Check, and FBI fingerprinting.
