Cornerstone Advertising is seeking a detail-oriented full charge bookkeeper to join our team. The bookkeeper is responsible for processing and recording financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and monthly reconciliation and reporting. This role provides administrative and data entry support to our finance department to ensure accurate financial records for the organization. The ideal candidate is organized and has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Use QuickBooks Online software to record day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Update, balance, and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform accounts receivable functions in an accurate and timely manner, including invoicing, depositing, and collections.
  • Perform accounts payable functions in an accurate and timely manner, including reviewing, processing, and paying invoices.
  • Process and record payroll transactions.
  • Manage and maintain vendor and customer files and relationships.
  • Complete month-end closing processes and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accurate entry. Note and report discrepancies and reconcile as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits.
  • Follow federal, state, and local rules and regulations along with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • An Associate degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is preferred.
  • 3 years of previous bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and planning skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with employees, clients, and business contacts are required.
  • Must be able to proofread one’s own work and the work of others.


  • Local travel for running errands is required.


  • Full-time 4/1 schedule with four days in the office and one flexible day as work from home. This job is located and performed at our Westfield, Indiana office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
