Full Job Description

JOB TITLE: Admissions

SUMMARY:

As an Admissions Team Member, you are responsible for cash control of your till, selling credits for all attractions, and selling beverages at designated carts. The Admissions Team Member will also be enforcing all park policies and safety guidelines in accordance with The Funplex’s Policies and Procedures. You will provide exceptional guest service while delivering thrills and excitement. You will ensure excellent guest service by responding to and exceeding their requirements, expectations and needs. In all you do, you will consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protective equipment:

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean the admissions ticket booths and carts, perform safety inspections, and maintain cleanliness throughout the day, including sweeping ticket booth enclosures, cleaning ticket booth structures, seats, and other miscellaneous duties

· Operate admissions POS during normal and unusual situations and different modes of operations. The Admissions Team Member will closely monitor all ride statues and guests to ensure safe and efficient operation.

· Respond quickly to unusual situations during normal operation, including power failure, operating system faults or shutdowns, fire, and guest evacuation.

· Provide verbal instructions to guests at the start of each transaction.

· Check and redeem proper credits on each card.

· Monitor and respond to inappropriate guest behavior, enforce rules and restrictions, regulate guests’ actions, and request assistance from Operations Leadership as needed.

· Must exhibit a high degree of motivation toward providing guest satisfaction by displaying a friendly approach to service guests. In addition, must be able to deal with many guests each day in a positive and friendly manner.

· Must be flexible to work a different positions and must be knowledgeable of all workstation’s requirements and functions.

· During training periods, must be able to read and assimilate information provided in the Standard Operating Procedures and the Seasonal Employee Handbook, and comprehend verbal instructions

· Will be working around high noise levels from the amusement rides and carious equipment. Must be able to remain focused on the job while dealing with interruptions from guests and/or other employees

· Must be willing to confirm to The Funplex’s Grooming Guidelines and wear the proper issued uniform. A neat, clean professional appearance is required at all times.

· Must be willing and able to perform all other job duties and assignments as assigned by management.

· Perform basic mathematical computations.

· Gather lost and found items and maintain proper logging.

· Must be able or willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

· Able to follow daily operations and closing procedures in order to operate the ride as instructed, enforce safety rules and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all work areas.

· Able to respond quickly to unusual situations during normal operation, including power failure and/or operating system faults or shutdowns, and fires.

· Able to handle minor complaints and suggestions from our guests in a calm and professional manner or seek additional assistance from supervisor if necessary.

· Perform inspection checklists accurately and honestly according to procedure.

· Clean work area daily or more often, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

· Able to use hands and fingers to feel.

· Must have full use of hands, arms, and legs to reach and operate equipment and be able to climb stairs/ladders to evacuate guests from lifts and perform routine safety checks.

· Able to move equipment which would include pushing pulling, bending, and lifting.

· Able to stand, walk, crouch, crawl, kneel, or stoop.

· Able to walk quickly to/from job locations up to 200 feet

· Able to regularly lift/and or move up to 50 pounds.

· Must have good hearing and visual acuity to observe equipment, The Funplex guests, etc.

· Able to read and understand daily checklists, rules, and regulations

· Able to speak to give verbal instructions to guests and other employees.

· Able to work in a considerably noisy environment from equipment and amusements rides.

· Able to perform work duties outside in carrying weather conditions prevalent at the times.

· Requires early arrivals and or/late night departures.
