Full Job Description

As roasting manager, your job will include coffee roasting for our family owned business, and managing the processes and behind the scenes details of daily coffee orders we receive through online, wholesale, and retail channels. You will be providing the following skills:


  • Previous coffee industry experience preferred
  • General Knowledge and/or interest in coffee is required

Key Responsibilities for a Roasting position at Main Street Roasters:

  • Daily assessment and tally of online, retail, and wholesale orders to create a roast schedule
  • Keep Stock of, Order, and rotate green coffee
  • Analyze roast profiles as directed
  • Communicate with Owner, Office team, team members, and Cafe management to asses needs on a daily basis.
  • Direct other team members on daily tasks as needed.
  • Roast and blend coffees following our methods and protocols
  • Proper use of roasting equipment is mandatory, along with proper use of roasting software
  • Daily assessment of roasted coffee stock levels for in house use
  • Be able to lift and maneuver 150 pound coffee bags when needed
  • Packaging coffee for retail, online & wholesale orders in a neat and careful manner
  • Maintain & clean roasting equipment, maintain a clean working environment at all times

  • You have the capacity to retain information and also communicate the information you have learned with confidence.
  • You will have the skills to easily learn and use online merchant software, such as Shopify.
  • You can confidently communicate via emails to respond to customers or internally with other staff members.
  • Learning basic problem solving skills is something that comes naturally for you.
