Job description: Overview
The purpose of this job is to aid clients with service needs and provide assistance to producers in handling and processing new and renewal commercial business.
Responsibilities
- Market new and renewal business including proposals and update profit and loss information
- Answer clients and insurance companies’ questions and needs by phone, mail, fax, or email
- Issue binders and certificates of insurance
- Keep updated suspense, expiration lists, and maintain electronic and paper files
- Request and process policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations including invoicing
- Attend continuing education classes and seminars to improve insurance knowledge and management skills
- Account rounding and cross selling actions
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years experience as a CAM I with Commercial Lines in an agency environment or insurance company or completion of Insurance Development Associate Program with 1 year experience in an agency sales support position
- Must have Florida 220 or 440 licensing or Mississippi Property and Casualty license
- Knowledge of all commercial lines of insurance, company underwriting guidelines, and agency binding authority.
- Self-starter, creative with good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make informed decisions
- Time management skillsllege degree preferred
- 220 licensing preferred
- CIC, ASI, CISR designation preferred
- Ability to train other preferred
