Job description: Job Responsibilities

Teach basic programming, networking, and database courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies; develop, revise, and maintain course materials, recommend/design new programs, maintain office hours, participate in appropriate professional development opportunities; participate in College and community activities, promote the mission of the College, develop/implement retention strategies, assist in graduate placement; attend graduation ceremony; assist with student advising and registration; serve on College committees, promote institutional goals, assist department chair with administrative responsibilities. Teaching may be on any of the campuses, by distance learning, and may be days, nights, weekends, or a combination.

Special Note: Instructor will teach each Fall & Spring Semesters; and teach during the Summer Term as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or master’s degree in related area with 18 graduate semester hours in computer/information systems coursework. Minimum three years’ work experience and one year teaching experience in a computer related field.

Preferred Qualifications

The ability to develop and teach cybersecurity and/or data analytics courses.

Expected salary: $49000 – 59000 per year
