Customer Care Representative-Office Assistant

Moyer and Son Pet and Animal Feed produces and distributes high quality caged and wild bird feed and small animal food to distributors and pet stores all along the East Coast. Our distinctive feed mill in Souderton, PA has been a community staple for over 100 years.

Currently, we are hiring for a dynamic part time employee to help care for our customers and provide service and problem resolution. Daily responsibilities of the Customer Care Representative are:

  • Answering the phone and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Transferring the call to other departmental persons when applicable.
  • Taking orders and inputting the order into the computer system for production processing.
  • Generating packing lists for warehouse staff.
  • Generating invoices for the customer.
  • Interfacing with the production team, as necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction along with the ability to problem solve.

This role interacts with our Sales. Production and Purchasing staff and requires the ability to multi task and shift priorities as needed. To be most successful, a Customer Care Representative should have the following skills:

  • Professional phone skills.
  • Ability to engage departmental players to ensure a favorable outcome for customers.
  • Ability to learn and manage software package/computer skills.
  • Reliable, conscientious, team player, flexible and responsive to additional duties.
