Play a lead role in driving insights to influence world’s biggest retailer- Walmart Inc.! The Customer Insights Associate in Shopper Insights will be part of the Walmart region team leading the charge to drive growth with best-in-class insights. Your work will help identify opportunities for General Mills and our top customer to grow together. Working closely with Sales, Brand, Centralized Consumer Insights and other cross functional partners, you will use a variety of tools to build shopper, consumer, category and product insights stories to keep our organization and our customer consumer/shopper first, and make insights-based decisions.
You’ll love the rich experience offered in this role – you will be working on different brands and categories in the Morning Foods Operating Unit. Using both syndicated and quant/qual primary insights, you will explore a variety of topics at different altitudes, from how the Food world is evolving, life stage trends, all the way to product specific questions. You will also have tremendous leadership visibility in this role. Your daily audience includes Sales Senior Managers and Directors, and you will frequently interact with OU Insights teams. You will also have plenty of opportunities to present to Sales and Marketing LT and the customer.
Key capabilities and experiences you’ll develop in this role include: Omnichannel and Direct Customer Experience, Multi-Business and Multi-Functional Experience, Matrix Relationship Management, and Sales and customer experience & empathy. Tools/vendors you’ll use include Luminate, Qualtrics, Numerator, Nielsen, Qualsights, NPD, etc.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support Morning Foods categories
Use a variety of data sources to create compelling insights stories to influence customer strategy
Partner with Insights counterparts in OUs to build insights to share insights, further storytelling, and drive growth
Present insights to customer in innovation meetings and other apertures
Maintain a growth mindset and continue to evolve ways of working and build best practices. Identify new opportunities to use insights to create broader impact
Be an active member of the Shopper Insights team and help build an open and constructive team culture
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Data Analytics or related field
1-2+ year experience in consumer insights, category management or related field
Comfortable with data
Willing to learn and leverage new tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or Master’s Degree in related field
Experience with Qualtrics or other survey tools
Strong command of syndicated toolkit
