Position Overview

Enthusiastic, positive and upbeat individual to join our Data Entry team who has quick typing skills, an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for precision. You will be responsible for quickly and accurately transferring data from electronic files submitted by our Clients or Members. You will also update or correct existing data, and be comfortable working independently with large amounts of numerical and written data. The specialist should also have the ability to effectively communicate within the Date Entry department, as well as across all internal departments, is strongly preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information for computer entry
  • Verifying data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation
  • Organizing paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed
  • Insert customer and account data by entering text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits into appropriate fields; databases, records, and files
  • Update databases or records with new information as it becomes available
  • Correct and modify inaccurate files and records
  • Transfer data from written records, digital files, and paper formats via computer or scanners
  • Handle numerical data accurately
  • View and verifying confidential or private customer/client information and keep information confidential
  • Protect the information and identities of customers/client
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Store completed work in designated locations
  • Completes special projects and tasks as directed/assigned by manager
  • Position may occasionally require general office support for department


  • 2+ years of data entry experience or equivalent experience in a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Able to accurately and quickly type and enter data; knowledge of touch typing system preferred
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills
  • Keyboard and basic computer knowledge required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be team oriented
  • Patience and ability to deal with adverse situations
  • Comfortable with accepting and applying constructive criticism
  • 70wpm preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
