DDG-51 Pre-Launch Ship Program Manager who oversees and manages operational aspects of ship construction. Serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Directs all phases of assigned program from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program. Acts as primary customer contact for assigned program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Maintains authority over all elements and scope/work associated with the program for which they are responsible. Executes assigned statement of work in such a way as to develop customer relationships. Prepares and provides briefs to executive, program. and customer leadership.
Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s degree and 8 years relevant experience.

Prefer background to have excellent analytical skills; Strong computer skills – Strong Excel and Powerpoint experience is a must as well as the ability to use Outlook and Word. Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
