ENGEL?North America?has a job opportunity for an?Electrical Engineer II?with responsibilities in the Engineering Department.? Primary duties include?designing and modifying existing electrical design and drawings for ENGEL molding machinery and related equipment. In addition, this position plays an important role in evaluating design directions that comply with current mandatory NA safety requirements.?This job is based at the ENGEL North American Headquarters located in York, Pennsylvania.?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

?Provides electrical design for ENGEL?machines

Creates and modifies electrical circuitry using CAD programs such as EPlan and Promis for retrofits?

Assists the sales department with the equipment quoting process

Works with the Purchasing Department to eliminate replacement parts shortages

Estimates power requirements for new sales projects

Maintains databases for machine documentation history

Prepares documentation packages, including labels, panel inserts and machine nameplates?

Creates bills of materials for retrofits

Prepares complete lists of materials for retrofits

?Creates new Engel part numbers as necessary, maintaining and updating machine equipment history

?Coordinates product safety

Evaluates and implements changes to existing machinery to comply with current NA safety standards

Participates in drafting/revising NA safety regulations for injection molding machines as part of the SPI/ANSI?

committee

?Provides technical training and support

Provides technical support to the project engineering and assembly departments as well as technical assistance?

and training to service technicians and customers

?Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.?

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING:?

Associate’s degree in Engineering

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:?

?Minimum?5 years’ related experience

?KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:??

?Proficient with Microsoft programs, Promis, EPlan, Autocad, SAP, ZExplorer, TDO, Movitools and Adobe

??Good communication skills as this role develops and maintains relationships both internally (e.g., other departments, Senior Management) and externally to?ENGEL Machinery (e.g., government representatives, customers, suppliers, industry associations)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel 5-10%, including travel and meeting attendance outside of working hours
