To provide technical support to the file room. This position functions under the close supervision by the Office Services Manager. No subordinate personnel are assigned to this position. Working contacts include attorneys and staff.


  • Performs conflict of interest checks for firm-wide new files through Elite software.
  • Organizes and maintains files.
  • Closes files to be sent to storage according to instructions from the Office Services Manager.

· Retrieves files from storage as necessary.

· Assists the Office Services Manager in maintaining storage space in a neat and orderly manner.

· Opens all new files.

· Makes address, client and matter changes as necessary and enters on computer.

· Performs other duties as required.


  • Must have the equivalent of a high school education.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of personal computers with a data entry speed of 35 wpm.
  • Must have the ability to review data and summarize information to provide technical conflict assistance to requesting party.
  • Must be able to periodically lift approximately 40 pound file boxes.
  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively to staff and to work cooperatively with firm personnel at all times.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam, if required.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $15.50 per hour
