The Human Resources Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources team, employees, and management to ensure that questions, concerns, inquiries are answered in a timely manner. In addition, assists employees and management with day-to-day needs, assist in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for non-supervisory positions, primarily in a manufacturing environment. Works collaboratively with the Human Resources team to follow best practices. Experience with payroll is a bonus

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Human Resources contact for the facility of approximately 200 employees.
  • Answers employees questions and serves as the point of contact for Human Resources matters in the facility.
  • Maintains internal relationships with employees, supervisors, and management team for a collaborative work environment.
  • Assists supervisors and managers with coaching, training, discipline, and other matters that may arise.
  • Consults with the Human Resources Team and Manager for collaborative input and general awareness of facility climate and environment.
  • Serve as back-up to payroll using ADP.
  • Spends dedicated time among the employees in their work areas to create, maintain, and improve communication and disseminate appropriate information, as well as to foster a proactive environment for employees to engage.
  • Assist in promoting events, open positions,
  • Completes additional Human Resources projects as assigned, and fills in for other team members in times of absence and as needed.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with facility functions and other duties as needed.
  • Adheres to C&A Tool’s Human Resources Policies and performs other duties assigned.


  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of experience/education preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of Human Resources experience required.
  • ADP payroll experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with ADP preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to all applicable regulations such as the EEOC, Affirmative Action, HIPAA, local, state, and federal laws.
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and other required screenings.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working independently.
  • Is flexible and able to handle a multitude of duties while under pressure.
  • Ability to organize and maintain files and records with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively while speaking, in documentation, and when reporting.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to attend training opportunities within the state.
  • Possession of valid driver’s license

Working Conditions

The Human Resources Coordinator performs duties in a standard office environment, but will be required to spend time in production areas with employees to promote a proactive and positive relationships and to ensure any needs, concerns, etc. are addressed in a timely fashion. Employee works with some supervision, both alone and with others in a team environment. Employee on occasion works extended hours for special Human Resources projects or events, including job fairs.

Physical Requirement

Employee will work in an office setting and will need to routinely be able to lift up to 25 pounds when needed. Employee will need to be able to push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop. Employee will work at a computer and will spend the majority of the work in the office but will be on the facility’s production floor as well.

Comp: $24 to $27/hr. Commensurate based on Experience and/or formal education
