Full Job Description

The Human Resource Coordinator will assist in the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department with a primary focus of administrative activities, hiring processes, and new hire onboarding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls and requests for information
  • Schedules and organizes appointments
  • Orders supplies for new hires and employee relations
  • Facilitates the hiring process including background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding training plans
  • Assists with recruiting and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending start dates and other pertinent details
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Assists with payroll processing
  • Assists with uploading and maintaining learning packages in the learning management system
  • Assists with processes in areas of performance management, benefits, and employee engagement
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software and other recruitment systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required
  • Desire to work in an administrative capacity
  • Two (2) years of administrative assistant experience preferred
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, and applicant tracking system

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is mainly required to work indoors in an office setting. The employee will experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
