Job Duties:

  • The Human Resources Liaison performs professional work administering HR programs and interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Plan, organize, develop and implement procedures for administrative activities, utilizing a variety of reports and filing systems, following manual policy and procedures. Develop and implement interoffice procedures. Interpret human resource policies and procedures for home county and circuit staff.
  • Maintain classification and compensation information and reporting systems for local agency, review and process requests for reclassification, promotions, new positions and salary or personnel change transactions for local agency. Provide assistance to circuit HR staff in each county on the same personnel transactions.
  • Develop and maintain complex local HR database. Reconcile and maintain State DSS and county HR reports. Record and monitor county FTE and temporary positions. Coordinate with State DSS Personnel/Department of Investigations/General Counsel Division on confidential disciplinary actions, conducting research and formulating solutions.
  • Provide management duties assigning, delegating and supervising work of other clerical areas on an as needed basis. Provide input on reassignments of staff for better utilization. Assist County Director with incoming mail, telephones and special projects.
  • Perform Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency welfare services duties as directed.

Agency Requirements:

A High School Diploma and four (4) years of responsible clerical or administrative experience.

An Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of responsible clerical or administrative experience.

Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.
