Job description: THE POSITION

This Human Service Program Representative 1 position in the Office of Child Development and Early Learning provides an exciting opportunity to ensure the children of Pennsylvania receive the quality early intervention services they deserve.

This specific position will be home headquartered with the following possible Western PA program assignments: Greene County, Washington County, Fayette County, Bedford/Somerset Joinder, Cambria County, Blair County, IU 1, IU 8, Altoona School District, and others as assigned.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The position is within the Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports (BEIS/FS) and works with assigned local EI programs such as Counties, Intermediate Units, School Districts and providers. The local EI programs provide services and supports to young children (birth to five) with disabilities and the position monitors them to assess compliance with regulations and quality of services. Travel is required to programs located in urban, suburban and rural areas of the Commonwealth. You are on the leading edge of regulatory and policy changes that impact children and families throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.   • Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
