Hydrostatic Tester

Job Summary

Responsible for tank, vessel, and pipe pressure testing to ensure product safety and quality meeting customer expectations. Reports to OPERATIONS MANAGER.

Educational Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of welding is beneficial but not required.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, talking and hearing. Use of hands to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. May climb or balance. Visual and mental acuity required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs minimum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed and required

  • Conduct pressure testing of all tanks, vessels, and pipe fabricated.
  • Use various tools to perform testing.
  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation.
  • Basic equipment maintenance.
  • Understand and adhere to safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments.

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Observance of and adherence to all company policies and procedures is expected at all times.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, heat, sparks, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is moderate. Personal protective equipment required. Frequent exposure to hot or cold temperature of an uncontrolled environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities
