Full Job Description
Overview:
Successful candidates for this full-time position must be self-motivated, organized and possess the ability to communicate effectively. This position is responsible for collecting past due accounts, providing counseling on delinquent loans, and the proper use of credit. This position also serves as a Member Service Representative (MSR) in our Call Center, performing financial transactions and promoting the credit union’s products and services. Candidates for this position will work a set 6 month rotation between our Call Center as a Member Service Representative and 6 months in our Collections Department as an assistant.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for delinquency control of assigned accounts.

Collecting on delinquent accounts by phone, mail, and in person when necessary.

Inputting proper documentation into files as necessary.

Responsible for serving as a Member Service Representative (MSR) for 6 months of the year in the Call Center. Call Center MSR’s accurately handles member’s transactions by telephone.

Collections Department Hours (6 month rotation)

Mon (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) Tues – Thurs (8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.) Fri (8:30 a.m. – 6:10 p.m.) & two Saturday’s a month (8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

Call Center Hours (6 month rotation)

Mon – Thurs (8:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and Fri (8:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Qualifications:
Good organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

Ability to collect payments from delinquent accounts by phone or in person.

Ability to work with people and handle financial transactions.
