Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will facilitate the planning, procurement, storage, control, distribution, and invoicing of aggregate and asphalt materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervision responsibilities
Assist management with the training of other employees
Duties/Responsibilities:
Facilitates production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
Monitors inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased materials.
Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
Facilitates and monitors storage of purchased materials.
Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies.
Successfully communicates with customers and suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
Assists leading physical inventories.
Calculate royalties and submit to AP for payment in a timely manner.
Provide leadership with accurate and timely reporting and analysis to effectively manage the Materials team functions.
Assist management with other tasks and duties as they may arise
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required, preferred
1-3 years of experience in materials control field preferred
Preferred experience in Viewpoint, JWS, and PEAK.
Advanced Excel skills
Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communicational skills
Experience in providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Self-motivated to deliver with a sense of urgency on priorities

Position is located in Richland, MS at the APAC-MS/TN Corporate offices.
