Position: Logistics Scheduler I

Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM

Travel: up to 5% (to Logistics facilities for audit and physical inventory)

This is an entry level position within the logistics department with a specific focus on carbon production scheduling, order fulfillment and execution level responsibilities. The Logistics Scheduler I will be responsible for developing the S&OP plans for specified carbon materials to meet sales demand. The Logistics Scheduler II will develop and maintain the master production schedules for these materials at CCC manufacturing sites as well as third party vendors. The Logistics Scheduler I will monitor actual production, manage inventory replenishment, and order fulfillment process to meet customer demand.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Track operating budgets. Monitor budgets monthly and report variances for assigned cost centers
  • Participate in monthly / quarterly cycle counts using ABC analysis Logistics warehouses and or the Toll Manufactures
  • Reconcile actual counts to SAP
  • Participate in the annual physical inventory at Logistics facilities
  • Assist in identification of slow-moving inventory and Block stock materials
  • Execute action plans to reduce the identified materials and record and maintain records as required
  • Develop monthly S&OP plans for assigned carbon materials
  • Identify potential capacity / demand imbalance and report through the S&OP process
  • Maintain key internal interfaces with Sales Directors, TSR, Plant Personnel and Product Management to obtain current demand information and manage demand and capacity changes
  • Develop production schedules and distribution plans by effectively utilizing data from the Monthly S&OP Plans, MRP outputs, Sales Forecast and Historical data for production lines and toll manufactures
  • Interface with production plants and toll manufacturers to monitor actual production performance compared to production targets; provide demand/capacity and inventory issue feedback through S&OP process
  • Manage unconfirmed sales order process for assigned materials
  • Develop order fulfillment plan and ensure execution
  • Provide prompt feedback to sales / customer service any effects to customer demand
  • Interface / support the various Logistics Department functions to ensure efficient and effective work processes
  • Manage materials Target Stock and Safety stock levels to meet working capital targets
  • Effectively utilize the SAP system with specific focus with MRP and Shipment functions and other interfacing planning modules that impact demand/production planning, order fulfillment and inventory accuracy
  • Ensure SAP MRP data is accurate and associated transactions are timely executed
  • Act as source point for 3rd party toll manufacturers and or Logistics 3PL’s to trouble shoot SAP transactional errors and be available to train to ensure accurate execution


  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university (Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent degree is preferred)
  • 0-2 years of planning and scheduling experience using SAP and Excel based programs is required
  • Any additional experience in core logistics operations – transportation, warehousing & order fulfillment is preferred
