This position holds lead responsibilities for recruitment activities in the University Honors College (UHC) and serves as the liaison between UHC and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA). Duties include but are not limited to developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of OAFA recruitment options, processes, and materials; planning, identifying, and representing UHC at recruitment events; hosting open houses; corresponding with potential and current students and their families via phone, email, face-to-face, and online chat sessions; maintaining a thorough knowledge of UHC programs, processes, and policies; and developing and maintaining good relationships with UHC staff, faculty, and alumni, school counselors, community-based organizations, community colleges, etc. Responsibilities also include developing policies for recruitment of internal and external constituents, with an emphasis on URM, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and community college transfer students; implementing quality improvement practices to support these policies; and resolving complex issues related to the entire spectrum of enrollment services. Position will work closely and frequently with both OAFA and UHC to ensure seamless integration of prospective honors student experiences in every capacity through which they interact with Pitt. The Manager of Recruitment represents the University to a variety of audiences including students, families, high school and community college counselors, and community-based organizations. The ideal candidate will understand, support, and embrace the benefits of a diverse campus community and will value the perspective of others. Position must be able to manipulate data management tools such as the Microsoft Suite and Access; possess strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities; be able to focus, organize, multi-task, and prioritize diverse and competing tasks; and be comfortable training student workers to assist with both routinize and ad hoc activities. Experience with PeopleSoft and CRM environments such as Salesforce preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or higher required. One to two years of experience in undergraduate recruitment and/or a customer service setting. Any background pertaining to customer service and engagement, presenting, creating and running successful events.
