Premier Martial Arts (PMA) is a national leader in Martial Arts instruction – a tremendous asset to the community and a way for children and families to grow fit, build confidence, and become leaders.

Position Overview:

An instructor at Premier Martial Arts is a person who has passion for changing lives through day to day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and servant leader personality is a must! This team member will not only teach but will inspire others to do their best. The ideal candidate will work with the Owner and Program Director to develop and provide a “best in class” experience for PMA students, families, and staff.

As a PMA Lead Instructor, you will help kids build:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high energy, benefit driven, “edutaining” instruction for children and adults
  • Serve as a role model and character educator
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families
  • Recruit and retain new students/members
  • Student ranking, tracking, reporting, belt tests, and graduations
  • Conduct group and private intros
  • Assist in management of school (class schedules, sanitation, supplies, inventory)
  • Represent PMA at recruitment, marketing and community events
  • Complete comprehensive training in PMA skills and instruction

Required Experience, Skills and Mindsets:

  • Personality: Outgoing, servant leader and team player
  • Teaching Experience: Meaningful martial arts teaching or coaching experience (1 year minimum) or similar work experience with kids.
  • Martial Arts experience: Black Belt is required, Taekwondo or Karate experience preferred,but will consider other styles of martial arts.
  • Sales Experience: Ability to recruit and retain students/members
  • Marketing Experience: Social Media experience preferred to build brand awareness
  • Communication: professional communicator, presentation and public speaking skills required
  • Learning Mindset: Always looking to learn, develop, and implement constructive feedback.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be physically fit
  • Drivers license

Preferred Experiences and Skills:

  • PMA will help you learn their style of Mixed Martial Arts – however expert proficiency in a particular style is required.
  • Experience as a youth sports coach, trainer or PE teacher preferred; other comparable experience such as camp counselor also acceptable
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or promotions
  • Associates Degree or Military Service preferred.

Salary and Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience and highly competitive. Opportunity for performance bonus. Extensive training will be provided, as will growth opportunities in a growing business. You will receive guaranteed 40 hours of work per week, schedule will entail afternoon and early evening work very occasionally some Saturday work may be required but comped during the week. We also have part time positions available-please mention this in your application if interested in part-time.
