Medication Adherence Technician (Certification Required)

Position: Medication Adherence Technician

Hours: Monday – Friday, Pick your 8 hour shift between the hours of 8AM and 8PM CST

Location: REMOTE

Contract Role – This position will last for the rest of 2022

Must Haves:

Current National CPhT Certification

Customer Service Call Center experience

Medication and pharmaceutical knowledge

Patient Coaching

High Speed Internet Connection (speed test provided)

A secure, quiet workspace at home

Initiative and self discipline

Top notch communication Skills

Minor troubleshooting abilities

HIPAA Compliance

Job Duties:

Medication Adherence Technicians will be on an auto dialer making outbound calls to patients regarding the use and status of their medications.

Does the patient need a refill?

Are they having problems with their medication?

Do they have general questions about their medication?

The end goal is to help improve the long term health of the customer via problem solving that takes place due to the call.

When necessary, MAT’s will partner with a Pharmacist and/or RN to determine the appropriate route each individual patient should take.

MAT’s can choose their own breaks along with their shift schedule (30-minute lunch break, and two 15-minute breaks)

Performance Metrics:

Adherence to selected shift schedule.

Making as many calls as possible per hour, hitting 13-15/hr benchmark.

Completing all calls and properly notating conversation.

Spending as little time as possible in wrap-up time (voicemails should take 1-2 mins). Wrap-up percentage needs to be at 12% or less of total time logged in.

Attendance – MAT’s must work 40 hours per week (making up missed time as necessary). Attendance is the most important metric.

Time is tracked by how long you are logged into the dialer (log into dialer as soon as you clock in and make that the last thing you do when clock out). Dialer time needs to mirror timecard as closely as possible.
