This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Waccamaw Center for Mental Health, 164 Waccamaw Medical Park Drive, Conway, SC 29526.

You will under limited supervision serve as Access/Crisis Team Supervisor. Providing program oversight and direct supervision to staff of the Access/Crisis Team staff in the Conway Office for the Waccamaw Center for Mental Health. Evaluate and monitor staff performance, staff productivity and quality of work to ensure policy and program standards are met and goals are achieved. Provides direct clinical and performance management of staff within the program.

Provides direct clinical supervision to staff in individual and group settings and observe staff in the clinical setting to improve the quality of counseling skills and address clinic concerns related to adults, children and their families. Provides training to staff on clinical and administrative policies and procedures. Provides oversight and day to day management of screening assessment and crisis contacts within the center.

Provide therapy, emergency services and case management services to persons experiencing emotional disturbances, to include assessments, crisis intervention, individual, group and family therapy, patient and family education and targeted case management.

Participate on the center-wide Quality Assurance Committee conducting periodic audits and oversee the audit process to assist staff in maintaining compliance with clinical documentation and provision of treatment. Maintains documentation of charts and other records in accordance with State, Federal, Local, SCDMH, WCMH, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF standards.

Provides administrative supervision to staff to include completing EPMS and all required paperwork within SCDMH standards and policies to ensure performance management of staff, monitoring and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance standards.

Serves as a back-up with Mobile Crisis in absence of the Assistant Clinic Director (who is the supervisor for Mobile Crisis), for clinicians to staff cases/situations regarding crises, help as a support person when needed.

Coordinate schedules with Assistant Clinic Director and Clinic Director and act as back-up in the absence of Clinic Director and Assistant Clinic Director, assuming all duties and responsibilities. Perform related duties and tasks as required by supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

STATE REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and 3 years’ experience in a clinical counseling program. Must be able to meet DMH credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED: Experience working with clients and their families in a community mental health setting. Licensed preferred.
