The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, qualifying and influencing talent for all provider positions and other positions as needed. Develops clearly defined recruitment and sourcing strategies, and sets expectations in partnership with the Hiring Manager, Business Partners and key stakeholders. Creatively and proactively mine social media, networking sites, user groups and passive candidates to identify, screen and create talent communities and candidate pipelines for current and future positions.

Job Description

Actively contribute to the success of APP recruitment, including adherence to standardized recruitment processes, protocols, procedures and timelines, including, but not limited to, the following:

Successfully complete assigned provider searches from initial approval through final negotiations

Prepare a comprehensive profile of each open position and practice, including challenges, barriers to successful recruitment and candidate parameters

Make compensation recommendations to leadership

Screen, qualify, and thoroughly vet candidates using established recruitment guidelines and tools

Prepare and distribute candidate profile, including interview notes, summaries, curriculum vitaes, references, etc. to appropriate stakeholders

Serve as primary contact for APP candidates throughout the full recruitment process, including facilitation of the on-site and/or virtual interviews

Develop and maintain relationships with fellowship programs to enhance recruitment pipeline

Assist with all other MUSCP recruitment / sourcing needs

Preferred Experience / Qualifications:

Professional Development: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of the APP recruitment marketplace, including overall marketplace knowledge, specialty trends, etc.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with candidates, physicians, and business partners at all levels of the organization

Ability to function independently (minimal direct supervision) yet work effectively and collaboratively within a team

Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and a diverse workload while achieving results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams, etc.), and experience with internet research, database functionality, and HR systems (experience with WorkDay is a plus)

Strong customer service focus; ability to influence internal and external customers

Additional Job Description

Required Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related and/or Associates degree with equivalent experience is required. 1-2 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment and/or talent sourcing. Preferred experience within physician recruitment. Ability to develop sourcing and talent strategies to target niche talent pools. Highly proficient in utilization of sourcing tools including social media, networking, blogging, Career and Professional Association sites, as well as professional networking.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20 lbs (+/-) unassisted. Lift from 36” to overhead 15 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
