Operations Analyst I – Job Seeker

As an Operations Analyst, you will bridge the gap between internal stakeholder teams like Client Success and the wider Aggregation Operations organization.

We aggregate job content from job sites globally with the goal that all jobs on Indeed reflect the most accurate and up-to-date information for the job seeker. In addition to being an initial point of escalation in maintaining our existing sources, you will analyze new sources of job data in order to increase Indeed’s comprehensiveness, all while maintaining a high standard of quality. You will also work with our technical team to escalate issues, report bugs, and define requirements for new features.
Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, triage, and resolve requests from Indeed’s internal client teams
  • Identify, understand, and resolve issues around policy and workflow and suggest improvements
  • Monitor current job sources and identify improvements
  • Work with a fast-paced team to handle a high volume of requests in a timely manner
  • Help to define policy and process changes, which guide company-wide decision-making
  • Contribute to team projects and documentation as necessary
  • Participate in information sharing activities within your team and organization
  • Lead shadowing sessions with sub-teams within internal Software engineering and Product Development teams and other internal stakeholders
  • Escalate issues that could point to a bug in our systems
  • Make every decision with the benefit to job seekers in mind
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is inquisitive and eager to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Is data-driven
  • Can work autonomously and is able to prioritize a high volume of requests, as well as being ready to re-prioritize when necessary
  • Can read between the lines, recognize patterns, and dig in to get at the root of a problem
  • Thinks on their toes and problem solves efficiently and creatively – not only applying learned knowledge of best practice, but also using impact on the jobseeker as a guide in decision making
  • Can identify ways to improve internal processes and tools in order to keep up with growing demand
  • Takes pride in everything they do and is motivated to go above and beyond what is expected


Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in a Operations Support role or with a consumer-facing web company is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with both technical and non-technical users
  • Passion for digging into a problem and finding the best solution
  • Exceptional follow-up skills and good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g. Jira) and documentation tools (e.g. Confluence) are a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, RegEx and/or SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of a second language (Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Dutch, etc) is a plus

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 54,000 – 78,000 USD per year

Austin 54,000 – 78,000 USD per year

NYC Metro Area 69,000 – 101,000 USD per year

SF Bay Area 76,000 – 110,000 USD per year

Seattle 68,000 – 98,000 USD per year
