Job description: Part Time / PRN EMT or Paramedic
Like other EMS providers across the country, MEMS continues to see high call volumes. To assist in our mission to provide the best care to our communities, we are seeking to add additional EMT’s on a part time or PRN basis.
As PRN, you don’t have to commit to a set schedule nor do you have to work every week. We do ask that you work a minimum of 240 hours a year (an average of 20 hours per month). The number of hours that you work each week can vary, with a maximum of 130 hours a month (on average.)
A variety of shifts are available with primarily 12-hour shifts in the metro area and 24-hour shifts in the outlying areas.

Frequently lifts 110+ pounds. Carrying and lifting stretchers with and without patients.
Pushing, pulling and carrying various medical equipment, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, twisting, lifting, walking, running.
Ability to work outdoors in wet, dry, hot, and cold weather
Hearing by audiometric testing that demonstrates no worse than a moderate loss of hearing in one ear or no more than a mild loss of hearing in both ears.
Requires corrected or uncorrected vision 20/20 in each eye & with both eyes together
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
