The Regional Director of Behavioral Health monitors all aspects of Behavioral Healthcare services in a designated region or contract. They have the authority, responsibility, and accountability for effecting and monitoring compliance of Behavioral Health services with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, state, or jail contract requirements, and ACA/NCCHC standards. The Regional Director of Behavioral Health coordinates and ensures effective administration of psychiatric services as further described below and provide administrative guidance and support to site Behavioral Health staff and support of regional management.


  • Must possess a current license in the state of responsibility and a current DEA registration.
  • Must be board certified, eligible, or qualified by the state laws/regulations to practice Psychiatry.
  • Experience in healthcare administration preferred.
