Job description: RN, House Supervisor
Provides direction for patient care on designated unit/utilizing nursing knowledge and nursing assessment, clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
Consults with staff, clinical director/unit managers, physicians, and other departments as necessary to ensure that care is delivered according to hospital mission: highest standard of care, one patient at a time.
Assures adequate staffing of assigned areas, in conjunction with clinical director/unit manager, based on patient acuity, staff competency, and staffing matrix.
Identifies performance improvement needs and follows through as needed to insure that patient care is delivered safely, competently, and according to best practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred
Certification & Licensures Requirements
Registered Nurse in Mississippi or hold a current Multi State license within the state you reside in. Must maintain a current CPR, ACLS & PALS certification.
3-5 years of experience in Healthcare/Medical – Nurse: Registered Nurse Preferred
Multi-Lingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional.
Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator.
Skill in adding and subtracting two digit numbers.
Knowledge of the metric system units (length, area, volume, capacity, mass and weight) and U.S. equivalents.
Must have the ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning capabilities whenever necessary when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff.
Critical thinking and multi-tasking skills a must.
Must have reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do.
Must possess purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based.
