Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a full-time Scheduling Associate (Remote) to join our Scheduling/Patient Access!
The Scheduling Associate is responsible for timely and accurate appointment scheduling with expertise in scheduling protocols, registration, insurance requirements/verification, identification of accurate patient responsibility with notification to patients on behalf of the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region. The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region includes Mercy Fitzgerald, Nazareth Hospital, St. Francis Wilmington and St. Mary Medical Center Langhorne.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours) **
**While this role is remote, there will be occasional need to be on site for training and meetings.
The Scheduling Associate is responsible for pre – registration, scheduling, electronically verifying insurance eligibility and accurately identifying patient financial responsibility. This is a key position that will begin the overall patient experience and initiates the billing process for any services provided by the hospital
Accurately schedule appointments using scheduling protocols and insurance requirements via current HIS (Health Information System)
Collects and documents all required demographic and financial information .
Completes scheduling of appointment, pre-registration, insurance verification and authorization requirement s with collection of out-of-pocket payments as applicable based on Bronze Standard.
Analyzes patient insurance(s), identifies the correct insurance plan, selects appropriately from HIS insurance and plan selections and documents correct insurance order. Applies recurring visit processing according to protocol.
HS diploma or equivalency (required)
Associate degree (preferred)
Scheduling and/or insurance verification experience (preferred)
