The following description is intended to describe the general nature of the job that may include other duties as assumed or assigned; it is not intended to be all-inclusive or limit the duties of the position:

Working remotely the School Data Coordinator will work as part of the Customer Engagement and Retention department and assist with efforts to ensure graduation cohort and withdrawal data is accurate and complete. The School Data Coordinator will work closely with the leadership team to determine student populations, meet deadlines, and achieve service levels. This position will play a vital role in graduation rate improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Contact families of withdrawn students through various communication methods to obtain next schooling their student attended after leaving a Connections Academy school;

Contact local schools or school districts to obtain verification of student enrollment that meets state reporting guidelines;

Update student information systems data to reflect the type of next schooling and required documentation;

Communicate appropriate information to Connections Academy schools to ensure proper updating of state reporting systems;

Understand the state-specific withdrawal codes to effectively update Data Views and other reporting systems;

Provide information regarding local schooling options for parents;

Use virtual platforms to find current contact information for parents as needed;

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Connections Academy withdrawal processes;

Understand the Connections Academy and Pearson Virtual Schools enrollment and re-enrollment process to assist families who wish to continue with a Connections Academy school;

Participate in bi-weekly one on one meetings with School Data Coordinator Supervisor and;

Other duties as assigned by the leadership.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Connections Academy withdrawal procedures and policies

Ability to understand and implement constant changes involving district and state policies

In depth knowledge of enrollment verification requirements

Ability to maintain the privacy of student records and information.

Must be able to interact with a diverse range of formal and informal contacts with courtesy and patience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in record keeping and/or data entry
