JOB OBJECTIVE: To participate and provide working supervision to assigned personnel in the set up and take down of various configurations for events for City of Little Rock Zoo.

Essential Functions


Participates and provides working supervision to assigned personnel in the set up and tear down of various configurations for events in the City of Little Rock Zoo in compliance with client written specifications and/or diagrams, life safety codes and all applicable policies and procedures.

Moves, lifts, folds, sets up, tear down and positions chairs, tables, staging or other equipment as assigned; pushes and pulls equipment dollies. * Meets with assigned Managers on Duty and Event Managers relative to any set up changes received from client; notifies appropriate personnel and makes required set up changes as requested.

  • Places linens and table/riser drape for events; reviews set ups for completeness, accuracy, “show readiness” cleanliness and safety; notifies appropriate personnel of event setup issues and concerns.
  • Installs and dismantles complex performance staging and risers to meet client specifications and safety requirements.
  • Monitors the event setup storage rooms/areas; notifies supervisor of supplies and equipment needed.

Monitors building facilities and equipment for damage or other unusual situations; notifies the appropriate personnel. * Operates a forklift in the performance of essential job functions.

  • Interacts in a positive and responsive manner with show management, clients, and attendees of events, and general public.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through two (2) years of experience in building maintenance involving manual labor, or related area and one (1) year of lead working supervision. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
