Tool Maker – 1st Shift

SUMMARY

Toolmaker Lays out, machines, fits, assembles, and finishes metal parts to make and repair molds for injection molding of plastic products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Studies blueprints of product and die or mold, and computes specifications.

2. Plans sequence of operations, visualizing shape of die or mold in reverse of product.

3. Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock to lay out for machining.

4. Grinds parts to fit parts for assembly and to smooth and finish cavity.

5. Assembles die or mold. Verifies dimensions.

The position description is not all inclusive and I may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Required)
  • Tooling: 4 years (Required)
  • Micrometer: 1 year (Required)
  • CNC: 3 years (Required)
  • Machining: 3 years (Required)
